Step 2: Email ckc [AT] accuforge [DOT] com to request a transfer with the name and contact info (email) of the Transferor. Please include your email and phone number. I have had situations where I lost contact with a transferee due to email issues. Please coordinate before the purchase/transfer to make sure I'm available during the time period you need (I do take holidays off and close during vacations). For unknown reasons, Buds Gun Shop won't ship to my receiver so please don't transfer from there.
Step 3: Accuforge will send our FFL info to the transferor and notify the transferee when complete. Some sellers (like SOSS) have our info on-file and Accuforge may be chosen at checkout.
Step 4: Direct the transferor to send the firearm to the SHIPPING ADDRESS (can be confirmed as the MAILING ADDRESS on my FFL). Send the tracking number (if available) to ckc [AT] accuforge [DOT] com
Step 5: Wait to be contacted about the receipt of the firearm and arrange an appointment time (evenings / weekends are best) for pickup (I try to do these the same or next day after receipt)
Step 6: Come to my premises address to fill out the ATF 4473. Assuming successful NICS check, firearm will be transferred at that time. (Note: this is different than the shipping address)
I usually respond to emails quickly (within hours). If it has been over 24 hours since you emailed me about a transfer then please try again ckc [AT] accuforge [DOT] com.
Transfer Policies (Please actually review these)
It is the transferee's responsibility to obtain a valid email address and contact information for the Transferror.
It is the transferee's responsibility to make sure that the Transferor ships to the correct SHIPPING ADDRESS.
In the event of a DENIED NICS check response, Accuforge will only transfer to another FFL or return to the sender at the Transferee's expense.
Under no circumstances will another person be allowed to pick up the firearm as this may constitute an illegal STRAW PURCHASE.
In the event of a DELAYED NICS check response, Accuforge will hold the firearm for 1 week or until a PROCEED or DENIED response is received.
In the event that the shipment is damaged, Accuforge will bear no responsibility for damage or delays that happen outside of its control.
Any firearm that is not picked up within 1 week of receipt may incur an additional $25 / week storage fee payable prior to transfer.
Let me know if there are special circumstances and I'll do my best to make acceptable arrangements.
Firearms sent to Accuforge without prior communications / approval will incur an additional $100 fee
Buyer / Transferee must have a gun lock for pickup of a new firearm. Nearly every new firearm comes with one. (or I can sell you one at low cost $5)
If in doubt about the legality of a firearm you want to transfer, then email me the manufacturer and complete model number before making a purchase.
Address on the Buyer / Transferee's govt issued ID must match current address (and address on 4473 form)
Magazines >10 rounds - If I receive a firearm with a >10 round magazine, I cannot transfer it within MD or send it to a MD resident at another state address. In the event that it's an AR or Glock type magazine, I'll swap it for a 10 round magazine if I'm asked in advance. Otherwise, no swap / compensation will be available.
All transfers are to be picked up by appointment in Odenton, MD (subject to NICS check)
Appointment times are usually 6-7pm Weekdays or Weekends
